A short summary of a research study to identify and review existing international and regional policies, legal frameworks and mechanisms in relation to agricultural food systems in Africa, with particular reference to agroecology, food sovereignty, nutrition and gender equality.

This summary report is part of an AFSA series of three policy studies, focusing on Land Rights, Agroecology, and Seed Sovereignty. These reports were published with the financial support of Bread for the World, The Tudor Trust, and The Swift Foundation.
