L&rsquo;\u00e9rosion et la d\u00e9gradation des sols menacent de vastes \u00e9tendues de terres agricoles. Dans le bassin arachidier du centre du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, la zone de basse altitude situ\u00e9e entre les fleuves Ferlo et Gambie, la capacit\u00e9 du sol \u00e0 retenir les nutriments et l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9v\u00e8rement r\u00e9duite apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es de pratiques agricoles inappropri\u00e9es, y compris les techniques de labour, la monoculture et
