Interpretation Services – Second Congo Basin Convening 2026
The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) invites qualified interpretation service providers to submit Expressions of Interest for the provision of professional interpretation services during the Second Congo Basin Convening, which will take place from 25–27 August 2026 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The assignment includes simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in French, English and Portuguese, together with the provision, installation and technical management of all required interpretation equipment. The selected provider will support a high-level regional convening bringing together approximately 140 participants from across the Congo Basin and neighbouring countries.
We are looking for service providers with:
- At least five years of proven experience delivering interpretation services for international conferences.
- Qualified conference interpreters working in French, English and Portuguese.
- Experience providing interpretation equipment and on-site technical support.
- Familiarity with agroecology, food systems, biodiversity, climate justice or related development sectors.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multilingual, multi-stakeholder events.

- A technical proposal.
- A financial proposal.
- Evidence of similar assignments.
- Two references from comparable events.
