
The report concludes that many agriculture policies in Africa were driven by donor influence and multinational corporations pushing for intensive use of chemical fertilizers, hybrid seeds and pesticides. It notes that there was little or no consultation to gather the views of women, smallholder farmers, pastoralists, fisherfolk, and consumers who are impacted by these policies.The report evidences the failure of industrial neoliberal policies, and sets out ten steps for remedial action.
