Event Facilitator – Second Congo Basin Convening 2026
The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) invites qualified consultants to submit Expressions of Interest for the position of Event Facilitator for the Second Congo Basin Convening, to be held from 25–27 August 2026 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The facilitator will support the planning and delivery of a high-level regional convening by designing participatory sessions, coordinating speakers and moderators, facilitating discussions, and guiding participants towards the adoption of the Yaoundé 2026 Declaration and the regional action roadmap.
We are seeking professionals with:
- A minimum of five years’ experience facilitating high-level multi-stakeholder events.
- Strong facilitation, communication and moderation skills.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Knowledge of agroecology, food systems, biodiversity, climate justice, advocacy or sustainable development.
- Experience working with governments, civil society, Indigenous Peoples, farmers’ organisations, women and youth networks.
