As part of the Agroecology for Climate Action Campaign, AFSA has commissioned national climate policy studies across Africa. This was done in a bid to position Agroecology as a key response to the climate crisis.AFSA through its continental national networks sought the development of strategic country reports to inform its campaign and influence national climate policy frameworks, plans and strategies to reflect agroecology.

The Overall objective of the campaign is that Agroecology is recognized in national, regional and international policy spaces and frameworks as a strategy for climate change adaptation and mitigation in Africa. The networks of AFSA that undertook the studies are from 12 countries in Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.  A regional policy study was also undertaken on the same issue.
