The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) is pleased to announce a consultancy opportunity for the Healthy Soil Healthy Food (HSHF) Project, aimed at advancing agroecology and soil health across the continent. This initiative seeks to promote sustainable food systems through evidence-based advocacy, focusing on soil health and agroecological practices that are resilient to climate change. We invite expressions of interest from experienced consultants who can help shape our advocacy efforts by conducting a meta-analysis of success stories, developing policy briefs, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.

The selected consultant will be responsible for producing comprehensive desk studies, policy briefs, and a position paper that reflects current challenges and opportunities in soil health across eleven African countries. This work will contribute to the broader agenda of promoting healthy soils for food security in Africa, supporting the Soil Initiative for Africa and other strategic frameworks.

For a detailed review of the application criteria, scope of work, and timelines, please refer to the attached Terms of Reference (ToR).

Interested individuals should submit a detailed proposal outlining their approach and budget, along with a CV and samples of previous work by July 2, 2024, to charles.tumuhe@afsafrica.org.
